National Wrestling Coaches Association
First Nonprofit Foundation awarded $20,000 to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) to develop a comprehensive technical/tactical curriculum for youth, middle school and high school coaches. The curriculum will initially be rolled out for wrestling coaches, but the technology platform is uniquely designed to be easily scalable to accommodate the unique needs of coaches in all sports. In addition to serving a critical need for all sports, NWCA’s leadership with this project could create significant recurring revenue, enabling NWCA to start more college teams and save threatened programs.
The National Wrestling Coaches Association, established in 1928, is a professional organization dedicated to serve and provide leadership for the advancement of all levels of the sport of wrestling with primary emphasis on scholastic and collegiate wrestling programs. The membership embraces all people who are interested in amateur wrestling.
The NWCA, through its organizational structure, promotes communication, recognizes achievement, recommends rules and regulations, sponsors events and serves as an educational and informational source. Additionally, the NWCA strives to foster the sportsmanship and integrity that are the cornerstones of athletic competition.
The NWCA has been preserving, protecting and promoting amateur wrestling since 1928.
"It has been a pleasure working with First Nonprofit and Joe Geiger. Joe was extremely helpful and professional for guiding us through the application process to the awarding of the grant. Once we were approved for the grant we received our funds immediately. The entire team received constant communication through the process. We were very pleased with First Nonprofit and recommend others to learn more about the organization."
