First Nonprofit awarded $25,000 to Camp No Worries, a summer camp in Mount Laurel, New Jersey for children dealing with cancer, to enhance the camp’s food service program and teach campers about nutrition and the benefits of physical activity.

Campers ages 6 to 16 take part in traditional summer camp activities at Camp No Worries that are designed to meet their individual needs at no cost to their families. From swimming, nature, arts and crafts, land sports, archery and zip lining, these children, their siblings and bereaved siblings spend their week in a an environment that is safe, comfortable medically supervised and – most of all – FUN!

YMCA Camp No Worries is a completely volunteer-led program. The medical team, social workers, child life specialists, leadership and program staff all give their time to ensure that these special children have an unforgettable experience.

YMCA Camp No Worries is a summer camp created to give children with cancer and their siblings an opportunity to relax, enjoy themselves and forget about their troubles for one week every summer.

Organization History

For over 20 years, YMCA Camp No Worries has given children facing a diagnosis of cancer the opportunity to just be kids. It’s a place of happiness, friendship and new adventures. It’s a place of camaraderie and acceptance where everyone knows first-hand what it’s like to live with cancer. And it’s a true summer camp experience in every sense of the word.
