Joe Geiger Joins Foundation


CHICAGO, IL – Phil Warth, Chairman of First Nonprofit Foundation is pleased to announce that Joe Geiger, CAE has joined First Nonprofit Foundation as President/CEO.

Mr. Geiger was the founding executive director of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit  Organizations (PANO) and served for more than 18 years. Prior to serving at PANO, Mr. Geiger was a consultant for Organizational Effectiveness Group (NJ) and Campaign Associates (PA). He also served as the executive director of the Keystone State Head Injury Foundation. Over a span of ten years, Geiger served as a consultant to the government and nonprofit sector in Japan to help them establish a nonprofit sector in Niigata Prefecture.

Mr. Geiger is currently on the adjunct faculty at Duquesne University Graduate School where he teaches leadership and organizational business ethics and serves on several nonprofit boards. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Not-For-Profit Management from Columbia University’s Institute for Not-For-Profit Management. In addition, Mr. Geiger earned and maintains the elite distinction of Certified Association Executive through ASAE – The Center for Association Leadership.
