First Nonprofit Foundation Teams up with AmTrust Financial Group to Provide Aid to Hurricane Harvey Victims
In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit the United States coast line, the first major hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. since Hurricane Wilma in 2015. This category 4 hurricane had winds that went over 125mph and with rainfall topping 50 inches in some areas. The catastrophic, record setting flooding has been responsible for a rising death toll and has done extensive damage to the affected areas.
Survivors of this storm are going to need support now and for years to come as they rebuild. That’s why First Nonprofit Foundation is teaming up with AmTrust Financial Group to provide guidance and aid to those who experienced turmoil as the result of Hurricane Harvey.
AmTrust Gives Back
To help the people of Houston get back on their feet, AmTrust Financial has committed to making a $100,000 donation to First Nonprofit Foundation. With the funds from AmTrust Financial, we will be able to identify and donate to nonprofits in the affected area. Our focus for dispersing the funds will be on finding where they can do the most good, for the most people.
The extensive damage that occurred means that victims of Harvey are going to require assistance for years to come. That’s why our goal is to support mid and long-term rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Harvey.
Our hope is that the region, businesses, and individuals affected by Hurricane Harvey will soon be back on their feet and thriving once again.
